Kelly attended St. John's University on a full academic scholarship; she was later accepted into the prestigious B.A./J.D. program enabling her to enter law school in what would have been her senior year of college. Based on her academic performance Kelly was awarded a full academic scholarship to law school. Kelly was a member of numerous organizations, most notably the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review, the Civil Trial Institute, the Mock Trial Honor Society and the Public Interest Committee.

Kelly has been involved in all areas of the practice with a particular focus on the firm's growing number of complex state and federal civil rights and land use cases. Kelly's experience includes the preparation of pleadings, drafting discovery demands and responses, conducting depositions, and preparing dispositive motions.

In addition, Kelly has conducted municipal hearings and depositions and authored numerous motions in connection with the firm's municipal and school district liability cases. She has also handled numerous no-fault cases and has tried multiple no-fault cases to verdict throughout the five boroughs and in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
