Steve has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation and related matters for insurance companies. His legal career began with researching and writing memoranda on varied subjects of New York State Insurance Law, as well as advising CIGNA Insurance Company representatives on insurance law and negligence liability and damages issues.

In his ten years with Allstate Insurance Company, Steve handled all phases of personal injury litigation from inception through trial including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, jury selection and trial. During that time, Steve tried over twenty negligence cases to verdict. He also spent a significant period of time as part of a cohort working exclusively on summary judgment motions on both liability and damages.

Prior to joining the firm, Steve was associated with a general practice firm managing the firm's personal injury litigation caseload including cases involving auto, boater and premises liability and medical malpractice claims, as well as municipal and school liability cases against school districts, towns, county agencies and police departments. He also handled property damage claims, commercial litigation claims, as well as minor criminal and real estate matters.

Since joining the firm, Steve has continued to handle all phases of personal injury defense work involving premises liability, labor law and claims against municipal entities such as school districts and local towns, with a particular emphasis on conducting depositions, General Municipal examinations and extensive summary judgment motion practice. He has also conducted numerous no-fault trials and handled several landlord/tenant matters.
